Misión
y Visión
Aunque Hyll significaba originalmente Aprendizaje Híbrido de Lenguas (Hybrid Language Learning), con el tiempo su significado fue evolucionado, llegando a significar Vida y Aprendizaje Híbridos (Hybrid Living and Learning). Originalmente desarrollamos la palabra Hyll mientras enseñábamos idiomas en Harvard, al darnos cuenta de que nuestra filosofía de enseñanza, aunque también implicaba algo de instrucción tradicional, estaba impulsada principalmente por un auténtico compromiso sociocultural. Creemos que el aprendizaje de idiomas, al igual que la relación de mentoría, es una experiencia de aprendizaje «híbrida» en la que el conocimiento es co-creado por el profesor y el alumno (o mentor y su pupilo) mediante un diálogo activo y comprometido.
A medida que pasábamos más y más tiempo con esta noción de vivencia híbrida, nos íbamos dando cuenta de que atravesaba todos los ámbitos de nuestra vida personal y profesional. Nuestra familia multicultural, por ejemplo, mantiene fuertes relaciones con Estados Unidos, España e Italia. En casa hablamos habitualmente inglés, español, italiano y hasta valenciano. La vivencia híbrida es lo que somos, y cuando decidimos aportar nuestra considerable experiencia en la orientación pre-universitaria, supimos inmediatamente que se llamaría Hyll (pronunciado /hill/). Homófono de «colina», un pequeño tributo a Roma, ciudad caracterizada por sus colinas y dónde Hyll Education fue concebida.

Adam Muri-Rosenthal es cofundador de Hyll Education, donde aprovecha su amplia experiencia en asesoramiento académico para ayudar a los estudiantes a explorar oportunidades educativas internacionales y encontrar la universidad adecuada. Su trabajo en Hyll nace de los años que pasó como primero como Resident Tutor y luego como Academic Dean de una de las mayores comunidades residenciales de estudiantes universitarios de Harvard, donde orientó a los estudiantes en decisiones académicas y profesionales críticas. También fue Associate Dean of Students en la Loyola University Chicago Rome Center, profundizando su experiencia en educación global.
A lo largo de su carrera, Adam ha trabajado estrechamente con estudiantes en redacción académica, ensayos universitarios y solicitudes para la universidad, la escuela de posgrado y becas prestigiosas. Tiene amplia experiencia en los sistemas universitarios más complejos. En Hyll Education, aplica esta experiencia para orientar a los estudiantes, ayudarles a elaborar solicitudes excelentes y ponerles en contacto con los recursos adecuados para alcanzar sus objetivos.
Adam tiene un grado de Vassar College, máster por las Middlebury College Language Schools, y AM y doctorado por la Harvard University. Estudioso de italianistica, con especial atención al cine documental e italiano, también impartió cursos de lengua y cine italianos en Harvard. Su pasión por la educación y la tutoría sigue dando forma a la misión de Hyll Education: capacitar a los estudiantes para que descubran sus puntos fuertes, persigan sus ambiciones y conecten con oportunidades que les ayuden a convertirse en lo mejor de sí mismos.


Celeste is passionate about making a lasting impact in education and has dedicated her career to inspiring and guiding students toward success. With a rich background in teaching, curriculum design, advising, and research, she has had the privilege of shaping the educational paths of countless students.
During her decade at Harvard University, Celeste earned 19 teaching awards, underscoring her commitment to excellence in both teaching and mentorship. Mentoring is at the core of her work—whether crafting curriculum, leading seminars, or providing personalized guidance, Celeste is driven by a desire to support students as they navigate challenges and pursue their goals.
As a Resident Tutor and Academic Advisor at Harvard, Celeste cultivated communities where students thrived both academically and personally. Through tailored advising and an encouraging atmosphere, she empowered students to progress confidently on their academic journeys.
As Co-Founder and Consultant at Hyll Education, Celeste leverages her expertise to guide students through the college admissions process. Her greatest joy lies in mentoring students as they discover their passions, ignite their motivation, and achieve success.
Driven by a desire to effect positive change, Celeste is committed to supporting students every step of the way. She looks forward to transforming education and empowering future generations.

Anthony Terenzio is an international education professional with a diverse background in university administration, cross-cultural exchange, and business. In addition to his work as a mentor at Hyll, he was formerly an Assistant Resident Director at the John Felice Rome Center of Loyola University Chicago (one of Rome’s oldest and most prominent study abroad institutions) and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Study Abroad at the University of Illinois Chicago.
In his work with high school students, Anthony leverages experience in advertising to help students tell their stories in unique and compelling ways. Thanks to Anthony’s ample study abroad and mentoring experience, his students have gone on to win tens of thousands of dollars in scholarship funding and study in every continent except Antarctica. He regularly speaks at professional and academic conferences in the international education field on topics dealing with diverse participation in study abroad programming and student advising.

Brittany is a PhD candidate in History at the University of Virginia, where she researches the African Diaspora in the late Ottoman Empire. Her work examines the lives and legacies of African-descended communities in the Aegean region.
Before beginning her doctoral studies, Brittany served as an AmeriCorps member with City Year Philadelphia and a Youth Development Peace Corps Volunteer in Northern Peru. She later led storytelling efforts at a national nonprofit, where she elevated the voices and narratives of young people and communities across the United States.

Heather earned her BA in English and history from SUNY Albany, her EdM in Teaching and Learning from Harvard Graduate School of
Education, and her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from UNC Charlotte.
In addition to her mentoring with Hyll, over her 25+ year career, Heather has had a broad range of experience, including as an adjunct professor at Harvard and Columbia, co-founder of an experiential school, charter school leader, equity trainer, teacher coach, and senior leader in a national non-profit.
Heather is also the founder of the Root Collaborative, where she works with children to ensure that they enjoy an educational experience that sees, supports, and engages them, meeting them where they are and where they want to go in school and life.

Jason holds a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) from Harvard Divinity School, where he recently served as a Teaching Fellow. His ongoing research is centered on the ever-evolving power and purpose of poetic language.
In addition to his work as a scholar, Sheets’ commitment to the field can be seen in his work as a poet, essayist, and author. Books include Nova Qua Nova (forthcoming), V Verse Is I (2025), A Madness of Blue Obsidian (2022), The Hour Wasp (2017), and Theopoetica: An Anthology (2022). A 2022 Pushcart Prize nominee, his writing has been featured in Harvard Magazine, POETRY, and by Oxford University’s Research Centre in the Humanities.
Along with mentoring at Hyll, Jason teaches for Harvard’s Poetry in America program—in affiliation with the eponymous PBS television series and in conjunction with the National Education Equity Lab and ASU. He has taught English at the University of New Hampshire and has worked as a writing and publishing mentor in AWP’s Writer to Writer mentorship program.
Jason is a passionate educator who focuses on helping students find their academic and creative writerly voices. His former students and mentees have found success with publishing and with gaining admittance to Ivy League universities.

Shane takes pride in working to understand each individual’s unique academic, professional, and personal interests and motivations. This allows him to provide tailored guidance and resources to help students thrive. Shane has worked as a coach, mentor, teacher, advisor and consultant for students of various backgrounds and academic levels. His understanding of educational systems and structures along with his years of experience within student services and programs provide an exceptional foundation for assisting students in navigating the admissions process and finding the best fit.

Hayden Anderson is an undergraduate law student at Amsterdam University College and a former student of Hyll Education. As a Hyll team member, she focuses on promoting and generating content that highlights the organization’s work, drawing from her own experiences to support students in navigating the admissions process.
In addition to her role at Hyll, Hayden serves on the board of the Amsterdam University College Student Association and participates in extracurricular activities such as musical theatre and the European Youth Parliament. Her passion for education and student support is reflected in her prior experience tutoring English Literature and delivering workshops on effective study habits and academic confidence.
Hayden is drawn to helping students, like herself, find and access the tools that will ease the admission process and allow them to balance their studies with their passions to make the most of their educational journey.
